Interested in having an author or illustrator visit?
School presentations are a great way for authors and illustrators to share a “behind-the-scenes” look at how a book was made, the why behind the story, and how the artwork was created. We offer a variety of options when planning an author or illustrator visit for your school, organization, or event.
Options include author-only, illustrator-only, or a combined presentation. School presentations are geared toward 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-graders but may be adjusted based on need.
Author/Illustrator Visit Topics:
- Story read-aloud
- Background on the historical fiction aspects of the book
- Information on the book publishing process
- How the art was created (instruction, tools, methods)
- Q & A session
- Book sales and signing session
